The next Project at Elliot's Hill...

As well as continuing on smaller projects at Elliot's Hill I will be undertaking a larger participatory project that will encompass many of the Clients

The aim of this project is to make a house sign/Artwork for each development. The objectives are that it will be participatory, involving both Clients and staff and made out of clay. I will hold individual and group workshops.

I am currently researching materials and methods.

I held a small experimental workshop and found that; by manipulating, using various tools and pressing found objects in to the clay and we were able to make some interesting shapes, it was also interesting to see the different approaches that people had. It was a simple yet effective process that would be inclusive of all levels of ability.

Artworks by Artist in Residence Heather Parnell, a sculptor and the staff at The Royal Glamorgan Hospital, made using various techniques from pressing things into stoneware clay to drawing on tin.
